I’m in basil heaven

The garden is pumping out basil and tomatoes like crazy! Basil happens to be my overall favorite herb, and there are many creative ways to use it fresh!

Isn’t the dish beautiful?

Caprese (Ka-pree-see) sounds fancy and upscale, doesn’t it? It is Italian, short for insalata caprese, literally, salad in the manner of Capri. I like to treat myself to an artistic flair when I make it! I promise you, the first bite is so fresh and satisfying!

Here’s how to make it

Only FOUR ingredients make this dish simple to prepare!

  1. Fresh basil leaves

  2. Fresh tomatoes

  3. Fresh mozzarella (slices or pearls)

  4. Balsamic glaze

Find a plate or platter you love, the perfect size, and squeeze-stripe-swirl balsamic glaze onto it. Then layer in the order listed above: Basil, Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella, and Glaze. Next, take that perfect first bite!
